Claude does not like travelling and usually leaves a smelly present in his cat box by the time I get to the vets which is about ten minuets away. The practice are really good of cleaning Claude up before he goes into see the vet. Claude is always relax when he is on the vets table and loves to be pampered.
Having owned cats and therefore using vets for over 20 years, Thistle Vets are the best practice I have used. Even though they are a large practice, the service and professionalism is second to none and you can tell they actually care about the wellbeing of your pet. They came into their own when sadly I have had to have two of my cats put to sleep and Thistle Vets were so caring and handled everything with such dignity to my cats and my family, that was when I knew I had made a wise decision to make Thistle Vets my go to Veterinary Clinic. Do the same as you will not be disappointed.

I have been coming here since 2007 for my first cat and two second cats, and would never want to go anywhere else. I had a 4pm appointment today for my 10 yo senior cat Talia who’s been having upper respiratory issue for nearly a week, and needed to see the vet asap. I called in the AM to see if we could go in earlier, and they were able to accommodate our need. We got there 20 min after the phone call. The person I spoke to was very kind, pleasant, accommodating and friendly. We were soon seen by Dr. Tumang today. Sadly, I couldn’t afford the treatment plan of $1250 recommended that will include x-rays, full blood work, etc.,. So we decided to get only the treatment that is urgently needed at the moment. I’m just happy that they are so accommodating and never pushy with getting you to spend $$$$ for treatments. The staff were great! Carmen, the nurse was wonderful and caring. I couldn’t believe that She gave my cat the much needed shaving on her bum for FREE! And she was so kind and patiently showed me how to administer the nasal spray. Thank you so much Carmen! I wish there were more nurses, doctors, and people like you! We came home and Talia seemed to be looking better already. Thank you again…
i called Pharr Road Animal Hospital when our cat Lulu was having complications from a surgery done by a different vet. That vet wouldn’t see her but Pharr Road had me bring her right in and took such good care of her. i will always be grateful for their kindness and will continue with them for Lulu’s care in the future. Thanks to them, Lulu is back to her old self!
I’ve used Dr. Norris for over 16yrs and I wouldn’t go anywhere else but here. They’re always so nice and caring for my baby. Medina (Vet Tech) always goes above and beyond for your babies. The front staff is always so welcoming. This past Friday I had to put my baby to sleep and they made me feel so comfortable and reassured me I was making the right decision. I Highly Recommend them!
They saved my baby boys life!!! I have a 11year old Dachshund mix and I was afraid that it was time to put him down. He was not his normal self. I walked in on a Friday without an appointment which they added me to the schedule without any issues. It was a wait but worth it for my baby boy. They drew blood turned out he had an infection. They gave him IV fluid and antibiotics. The doctor and staff were amazing and careful with my baby boy 🙏🏽thank you sooo much for helping my baby boy return to his normal self 😭😭 🏽 May God continue to bless this clinic 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Gulfgate Animal Hospital is the best full-service vet clinic in town I have found for caring folks with several fur babies who want knowledgeable care on a limited budget. As of March 2024, office fee is still under $40 & staff is great about communicating prices up front & helping us know what is essential vs helpful. Dr Palmer & her team do a great job, & we have had excellent care for cats and dogs. From surgery to rescue a kitty from a dog bite to basic dog check ups to quick detection and life-saving treatment for a young cat in kidney failure (both recovered!) to caring triage for kitties battling FIV to compassionate euthanasia, these guys have been so great to come alongside us in the pet care journey. We drive across town to keep seeing them. Thank you guys for taking care of us for the last 20 years. Here’s to 20 more! 🐾

This is the very best place to take your pet, either for a simple check up, to dental work. I can not express my gratitude toward Doctor Gordon and Nate. Such caring and amazing people who took care of our Josie. Our little baby got such poor dental issue and my daughter had been stressing out about getting dental work for Josie, we had make appointment at one of the other vet where we normally takes Josie , the wait and price is ridiculous. Petcare express was highly recommended by Ms. Patricia Lender who been taking her cat there for shots, and everything else. Doctor Gordon and Nate did an out standing job on Josie, it made me cry seeing how they care for Josie. It only been a day and Josie is doing so well. Service is beyond my expectations, everyone there is extremely nice, the price is excellent. If I could give them ten stars, I would. Thank you so much for taking such great care for our Josie. This place is wonderful , full of fantastic people and Doctor who main focus is just getting your pets better, the personal attention shown to everyone and their pets is amazing. Dr. Matricardi, Brianna and all the staff at Hillside took great care on a Sunday night when my sweet pup ingested inappropriate substance. Little did they know we were also dealing with a death in the family and other issues. They took good care of our pup (now fully recovered). Their kindness and compassion is beyond appreciated!

My poor baby King Julian, some how recived and infection on the top of his head. All Creatures Animal Clinic helped clean him up, provided him with pain medication and antibiotics. He is doing so much better. All Creatures also called and emailed me, to follow up on how King Julian was doing. They truly treated him like royalty.

Do not go to this vet if you care about an intentional experience with a vet. They are a decent budget vet, but expect inconsistent custom service and undelivered promised. I took my senior dog for his annual visit and had a less than satisfactory experience. I paid 190 dollars for his vaccines, some medicine for his paws, and for a 3-5 minute conversation with the vet. When I expressed my concern regarding the quick "annual physical," instead of really listening to me and my concerns, my experience was challenged. The front desk wanted to see how my story measured up against the vet tech who was new instead of just wanting to just remedy my experience. I was made so uncomfortable that I simply paid and left - planning to just find a new vet who could provide me a better experience. The following week, someone called to see if my questions had been answered - not even calling to address the issues at my visit. Instead, only when I told them that I was looking for another vet was my concern addressed. I was promised that the head vet would call me within a few days to address my questions. Did I get a call? No. I got an email that looked like some tech just rewrote what the vet verbalized to write. Nothing was personalized, my experience was not addressed, and instead I was yet again not given the opportunity to have an meaningful conversation with a vet.

I've only gone to Wicker Park Veterinary for a few months and they've already done so much for me. My rescue Walter is usually petrified of the vet, but has now tried to drag me over to the vet just to say hello. They were patient when he was really agitated getting his blood drawn and worked with me to figure out the right medication to have calm visits. Most recently, I woke up realizing I'd left his anxiety meds at mother's house in Indiana. I called the vet and had replacement meds in hand within an hour, and was still able to make my flight that morning. Walter and I appreciate them so much!

How dare you make appointments for customers when you are closed for the holidays? I have been coming to this clinic for years it has gone down hill. No one ever answers phones, the staff is rude, it's just a money grab as they appear to be the only affordable vet on the East Side. It's 6am I wasted $25 on a Lyft and my cats still won't be spayed and neutered. It's really challenging to even get a vet on the phone as they almost never list prices it's hours wasted on the phone. I am forever in debt to the people at VetMED. They gave me priceless extra time with my best friend William. I cannot say enough good about them. Every person I have encountered during multiple visits for a variety of situations was nice, caring and thoughtful. I knew my best friend was in loving and professional hands. He was never quick to leave to go home which said a lot to how he was treated. He loved everyone there. Unfortunately my time with Willy has ended too soon but it would have been much earlier if it wasn't for them getting him through pneumonia, diagnosing Cushing’s disease and holding off prostate cancer as long as possible. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Wise and the entire staff at VCA Knowles Central! My baby girl needed surgery on her leg so my regular vet recommended Dr. Wise because of his many years of experience in orthopedic surgeries. As with any new vet clinic, there’s always a fear that they may not meet expectations but in this case, they far exceeded them. The entire staff from the front desk to the vet techs and the ladies at checkout were truly amazing, I could tell that they all genuinely cared about every animal that walked through their doors including my little angel, Luna. It’s been just over 2 weeks since the surgery and she’s been healing like a champ, her sutures were removed yesterday and another xray taken which showed that everything was on track for her to heal to almost 100%. Thank you Dr. Wise and everyone at VCA Knowles Central, you are all so wonderful!!!

The Best Place ever. Had a hard time finding a place to take my turtle.for care. They were prompt, on top of his care diagnosed him. Treated him and showed me how to administer his injections. The office staff was kind and courteous. I highly recommend anyone with exotics and reptiles check them out.
