Vets Now Glasgow's customer reviews analysis

Vets Now Hospital Glasgow has received mixed but generally positive feedback from its clients. A recurring theme in the reviews is the high level of service and the professional and compassionate care provided by the staff. Customers commend the staff for timely communication and consistent updates on their pets' conditions during treatment. The ability to contact the hospital for updates, especially during overnight stays, conveys a sense of security and emotional support to pet owners during stressful times. The appreciation extends to the skills and dedication of the vets who formulate treatment plans in collaboration with pet owners, exhibiting both knowledge and empathy. A few reviews, however, point towards unsatisfactory experiences related to treatment efficacy and transparency in the costs associated with emergency care, which impact the overall company reputation to some extent.

Positive Feedback

Positive customer feedback for Vets Now Hospital Glasgow focuses on the staff's professionalism, compassion, and efficiency. Many clients have expressed gratitude towards the caring and attentive nature of the staff, who have been described as going above and beyond for the welfare of the pets. The clinic's ability to provide immediate and urgent care during off-hours and weekends is especially appreciated, as is their clear communication regarding treatment plans and updates. Several customers have highlighted the thoroughness in the medical assessments provided and the comprehensive aftercare instructions, fostering confidence and satisfaction in the services received. The convenient location and adequate facilities, including the cleanliness and spacious waiting room, complement the overall positive experience at the hospital.

Concerns and Threads

The negative aspects of feedback are concentrated on individual experiences of dissatisfaction, primarily concerning the cost of emergency services, transparency of expenses, and treatment outcomes. Some customers have experienced substantial financial strain due to expensive procedures, with one detailed account accusing the hospital of not presenting more affordable diagnostics, such as X-rays, before proposing costly treatments like CT scans. The shock from an unexpectedly high bill and the perceived pressure to make immediate financial commitments were notable concerns. Furthermore, there are instances where treatment did not resolve the health issues as expected, resulting in the need for subsequent visits to primary care veterinarians and further expenses. These cases highlight a sense of frustration with the perceived value for money and treatment efficacy, which can tarnish the overall trust in the hospital's services.

We had to bring our wee Willow in for an over night stay. We can’t thank the staff enough for there amazing support and taking care of Willow. Willow had to go into Stirling to have a surgery after eating a sock then stayed over in Vets now Glasgow, for observation. They were really helpful and let us phone them whenever we wanted an update on Willow! She is now home recovering and will be back to her energetic self very soon! Thank you so much Vets now.

Excellent service received. I called Vets Now as my dog suddenly started vomiting blood at 8 pm. I spoke to a really helpful woman at the clinic and then made my way to the clinic. We were seen quickly (despite there being a few poorly pets in reception) . All staff were amazing and made a stressful situation so much easier. My dog has fully recovered but I feel much happier knowing the team are on hand to assist should I need them when my own vet practice is closed.

My dog had a serious medical emergency over the weekend and he needed urgent treatment before he could be transported to hospital. Emma managed to arrange for a vet (Nicki) and nurse to come out to me to stabilise him and take him in for further treatment. They were calm, compassionate and efficient and I am so grateful to them for responding to the emergency. Nicki kept me informed throughout the night as I had requested which I really appreciated. The next day a different vet (Nicole) took over and she called me first thing in the morning with an update and a proposed treatment plan going forward. She considered every aspect of the situation (medical, environmental, emotional) to come up with the best possible plan for my dog with me. It is rare to find a medical professional with the right balance of knowledge, pragmatism and compassion but Nicole is definitely one of them. She worked with me and my vet to make sure my dog would receive the appropriate care even after he was discharged and she went above and beyond (including working on her day off) to ensure he had the right treatment and medication in place. Every member of staff I encountered at the Vets Now Glasgow Hospital (reception staff, nurses and vets) were absolutely brilliant. They all went out of their way to help me and my dog in any way that they could and treated us both with kindness, care and respect. There is no doubt in my mind that the team at Vets Now saved my dog’s life last weekend and I am eternally grateful to all the wonderful people involved. Thank you!

About Vets Now Glasgow

Vets
In 2009 Vets Now opened Scotland’s first dedicated 24/7 pet emergency service in Glasgow. Here we have a team of dedicated specialist, referral and emergency vets on hand to provide your pet with the highest level of care when they need it most. As well as seeing pet emergencies — we’re a like the pet equivalent of A&E — Vets Now Hospital Glasgow also work with veterinary practices in the local area to support them with critical or more complex cases, so like your GP would refer you to a hospital, your vet may refer your pet to us for more advanced treatment. If you are unsure if you need to visit our hospital, you can book an appointment with our Video Vets and talk through your concerns. Our vets are available every day from 8am – 11pm.
