I reached out to Mark about 6 months ago as I have a very close friend that was really struggling with alcohol. He had tried local addiction services and AA but was getting nowhere with his recovery. I would like to express myself and family’s extreme gratitude for Paul Madan and the whole team at Livingstone House who have helped us and my brother through a very tough time. Paul was constantly in touch with myself and my brother before he entered Livingstone house. This was a very traumatic time for all of us and Paul constantly put us at ease. He went over and above what I would assume his responsibilities are as he was even in touch with me when he was on annual leave to check how my brother was. He also managed to give me and my sister a laugh through a very sad time by singing us the Flower of Scotland he’s got some voice! Big huge thanks to the whole team at Livingstone House again for everything we don’t know what we would have done without them.
Castle Craig is a place of healing for everyone that has come here for help with their addictions. It’s a well put professional unit of staff, therapists, doctors who ensure people make the most of their second chance at life. I would recommend this treatment centre to anybody who is going through a tough time regarding their addiction.
This place was the making of me, such professional and compassionate staff, not to mention Leslie (admins), and Karen (manager). I found this day time rehab gave me the structure, focused one2one counselling, and belief in myself to go out and carve my own recovery path. Promis are literally life savers. I have attended their Kendrick Mews clinic once in 2014 and once in 2023 for my alcohol addiction. The entire staff are absolutely fantastic. I got a huge amount from all of my therapy sessions, both 1to1 and in groups. The intimate family environment is very special and I feel very happy knowing that Promis will always be there for me, should I need them again in the future. I plan to continue 1to1s both in person when in London and on Zoom when travelling. The aftercare programme is also excellent. And a special shout out to Mo for his great food. If you are struggling with any sort of addiction, I cannot recommend Promis highly enough.

To whom it may concern, A couple of weeks ago I found myself in an absolutely awful place. I had been in recovery, from my own mental health and substance misuse issues for well over 20 years. Due to an unfortunate series of events I started using drugs again, just to cope with what I was going through. I approached Doctor Oscar D'Agnone, and his Non Medical prescriber Mark Kendrick who gave me a rapid appointment for assessment. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I have been with the whole process. In many ways, because of what they did and how they did it, I am in no doubt that it saved my life. Confidentiality was and still is very important to me and they have remained absolutely true to their words, ensuring that only those that need to know, know that I am in treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend the OAD, Doctor D'Agnone and Mark Kendrick to anyone undergoing anything similar. I believe the the service that the OAD offer is second to none and I cannot even imagine finding anything the comes close in terms of quality, safety, being well led, being very effective in everything they do, going the extra mile in, not only, demonstrating but ensuring a seamless no wrong door approach to caring, being appropriately and safely responsive. By ensuring that the right person is in place at the right time ensuring a seamless and timely response is offered as much as is physically possible. As far as my own personal experience, of the OAD clinic has been concerned, I can do nothing other than give personal praise and gratitude because they really could not have been any more effective in helping me achieve my goals/aims/ambitions/dreams. Quite a lot of the work we have undertaken together has, because of my own personal commitments, been undertaken outside usual working hours. Personally I have found this so highly person centred, trauma informed and harm reduction focused. My first few assessment type appointments were done in the evening around 6.30/7.30 PM which suited me fine. Working in this way, in my own time within my own space, has really helped and I honestly could not have committed to anything done differently. I really do hope that Doctor D'Agnone, Mark Kendrick, the rest of the clinic and their current ethos will continue. It is a much needed resource and, for people like myself, is absolutely crucial.
