I am delighted with my new flooring that was done yesterday. Paul came to measure and quoted me a price at the same time after choosing the colour i wanted. Three days later the flooring was fitted. I had quotes from other companies who refused to take up the old flooring for me and wanted to put new flooring on top of old. Along with moving everything. I explained I have spinal problems and unable to do it. The fitters came ripped up the old and replaced with the new all within a couple of hours also helping with moving the furniture. Paul, dad and lad (fitters) thanks so much for my lovely new flooring. Excellent job and no mess whatsoever. Polite, friendly and helpful.

Ordered a repeat product over the phone and a completely different colour was sold to us without any warning prior that it would be a different colour. Labelled exactly the same on email conversations during purchase and invoices. “It's obviously a different colour they can't dispute this.” Quote From a professional wood floor fitter. Thousands of pounds spent on the wrong floor and not offered any form of compensation. There was no way for us to know it would be a completely different colour to our existing floor. This company is careless and does not treat customers well at all, find an alternative. My response to wooden floor stores reply(below) 1)"there was a year and a half between your original order and your most recent, the floor that you have ordered is a real wood product and from batch to batch can be extremely varied but I understand that our Edinburgh branch has explained this" my reply: Sadly nobody in your team told us that in advance. They happily took thousands of pounds of my money without saying anything about the difference in colour. It's not just a slight difference it's completely different. As I said, Tim rocks, the guy who installed it said he has the same flooring himself and would have complained to you about this. If somebody had told us that we would not bought it. Have you even looked at the colour difference? 2) "in terms of compensation you were offered more of the current batch at cost price as a gesture of good will," My Reply: You want to compensate by getting us to rip up the flooring we bought from you a year ago (at our cost) and buying more wood from you of the colour we don't want? Compensation doesn't mean we pay you a few thousand more. 3) "we also understand that you inspected the flooring and told the fitter to continue" I was shown the floor after the fitter had done one and a half rooms out of two by chance when I was on the way out to work. I noticed it was a completely different colour but don't like confrontation, my loss I guess for not being the confident type. When I got back from work I received a text from the fitter saying they had done, I said I would be two minutes and by the time I got back to inspect they had gone. My wife was at work all day she only saw it after she got home later on, does her opinion of the product you sold us not count as a customer? all in all I've been made to feel awful by your company not accepting any of my points which all seem fairly sincere and straight forward to me. We have a completely different coloured floor to which we saved up for for the last year and nothing we can do about it. That's why I'm suggesting folk go elsewhere for buying their wood.
Edinburgh Flooring Company are fantastic to deal with and did a great job of flooring a siginficant portion of my house. I'm so pleased with the new floor, it has changed the look and feel of the house completely, and its now much warmer too! I was out the house the whole time the guys were in, I gave them keys and they were happy just cracking on. Highly recommend Edinburgh Flooring Co.
Beware ordering from this company. Ordered the same wood we'd ordered from them previously only to find when it arrived, it was completely different. Wouldn't refund us unless we organised a courier back to them. My husband ended up driving it to them as was cheaper. No offer of compensation or apology. Really poor service all round. No doubt they will respond to this review as I've seen on previous reviews with a reason or excuse...

Great quality and fast delivery! In process I noticed that delivery address I gave was incorrect. It took me a whole minute to updated, I was connect quickly directly to human being and my issue was resolved instantly. I will always recommend using those guys. They are so good that we end up using them again for flooring on the second floor and the attic conversion.

Recently bought some engineered wood flooring from Luxury Flooring and Furnishings for our new extension. Really good website, easy to find exactly what we needed. A good range of products and accessories, super service, especially being able to get samples of flooring to check "in the flesh". The prices were as good as anywhere, very happy with the overall experience. The follow-up was just right, not too intrusive, just the right level of support emails for fitting and aftercare. I would be happy to recommend and I'll probably return again for some of the other rooms.

Worst service ever. The quality of carpet itself is fine. But one of the worst after sale service. Fitting was to be done over two days and on the day I was told to empty rooms which I did. At 4 pm the fitters called saying sorry I can't come I will do this tomorrow. Not much that I could do at the time. Next day they arrived and told me to rip the old carpets off from stairs at very last minute. No one communicates. And the cherry on top is that they shipped wrong carpet for stairs and landing. So they left leaving old grippers out just to Injure you. Then after multiple calls they arrived 3 days later to fit the rest. And honest to God they created such a mess. Even left their old disposable coffee cups in my house. Even the fitting is not of the best quality and apparently shop doesn't take any responsibility for this. But they were apologetic about it. I had referred them to a friend and he was about to put an order in but the shopkeepers were rude to him and even he backed out.

We had amtico in the whole of the downstairs as well as a stair runner installed. The whole process was really smooth. The fitters were super efficient and got our downstairs done in 2 days and the stair runner done in less than a day. We got a number of quotes too, and this was by far the best value! will definitely be using you guys again for our upstairs

Reached out to Flooring Direct as we had a rental property which needed re-carpeting. The whole team was a pleasure to work with. From Sam coming out to do the initial measurements, to Terry's advice and guidance as to which carpet would be best for our property which would have high traffic areas and needed to be hard wearing and easy cleaning. They provided a competitive quote and we agreed on a date for the work which we needed a quick turnaround for. The house had just been fully painted and we asked them to be careful with the removal of any old carpet and when putting down the new one to avoid scrapping walls or marking any of the new paint work. They were mindful of this and did a great job fitting the new carpets to a tight deadline. I would highly recommend them for all flooring needs.
