Sandy Creek Park offers primitive camping sites, picnic areas, swimming, fishing, and boating opportunities. There are clean portable and vault restrooms available, and the campsites are equipped with free-standing grills. However, visitors should note there are no hookups or water facilities during certain seasons.
There is a daily fee of $10 for access to the park. Camping fees are reasonably priced at $15 per night, and the park accepts cash or check payments.
The park does offer areas for swimming, with calm water mentioned positively on less busy days. However, some visitors have found the designated swimming areas to be rocky and less accessible than desired, with a challenging hike down to the water. Therefore, the suitability for swimming may vary based on personal preferences and physical ability.
