St Martin'S Counselling And Psychotherapy's customer reviews analysis

St Martin's Counselling and Psychotherapy appears to have cultivated a positive reputation through the personalized and effective support provided by its counsellors, particularly Rachel, as indicated by the majority of the reviews. Clients have reported a high level of satisfaction with the therapeutic interventions, noting significant improvements in mood, self-understanding, and the acquisition of coping strategies. Noteworthy is the flexibility of the counselling delivery format, offering remote sessions which clients found accommodating. However, a critical point of discontent lies in the administrative operations, specifically the booking and payment system, which has inconvenienced clients through erroneous charges and necessitated follow-ups for refunds. While the professional service is praised, administrative lapses could tarnish the overall customer experience and trust in the institution.

Positive Feedback

Positive feedback from clients of St Martin's Counselling and Psychotherapy is prevalent, highlighting the effectiveness of the counsellors, especially Rachel, who is frequently mentioned for her professional and compassionate approach. Facilitating personal growth, understanding, and managing mental health challenges are consistently praised aspects of the service. Customers value the safe and non-judgmental environment that supports candid discussions about their feelings, emotions, and difficult life experiences. Additionally, the provision of practical coping tools and the tailored advice contribute to a sense of empowerment among clients. The therapists' attentive listening and the application of straightforward therapeutic methods without overwhelming clients with jargon are also appreciated. The face-to-face and remote session options further underscore the organization's commitment to accessibility and convenience.

Concerns and Threads

While St Martin's Counselling and Psychotherapy is generally reviewed positively in terms of the counselling service provided, the business's administrative facet receives criticism. Some clients encounter difficulties with the booking and payment system, which has led to clients being charged for cancelled or rescheduled sessions - errors that are particularly distressing for those already dealing with considerable stress. In addition, the lack of prompt administrative responses has resulted in cases where clients feel ignored or dismissed, as illustrated by a customer who was told they were discharged without proper communication or explanation. These administrative shortcomings have caused frustration and may impact the decision of potential clients to engage with the service, despite the professional excellence of its counsellors.

I have just finished 12 sessions with Rachel. I was apprehensive to start as I have been through a lot of therapy unsuccessfully. I engaged however and took on the advice, therapy and learning techniques and i definitely feel like there has been a shift for the better, not only my mood but also my confidence. I found Rachel to be understanding, nonjudgmental and patient. Although my sessions were set at 12 I did not feel rushed at all. My sessions were remote as I struggled with going out in public spaces, this is one of the many things we worked on. I would highly recommend St Martins and I thank you for your professionalism, time, understanding and support.

I have had a really good experience using at Martins Counselling and I would recommend it to friends and family. Over the 12 weeks I was there, I have learnt so much about myself and have many tips and tricks to use incase of a setback. My therapist Rachel was amazing, she was very understanding and has helped me a lot. - Thank you for everything you have done.

The counselling I received here was very helpful and I would highly recommend their services. They helped me through a very difficult time in my life, and I'm very grateful for the counselling provided. However, St. Martin's counselling really needs to improve the admin side of things. Every session I've had which was cancelled or rearranged, I've still been charged and needed to chase up refunds (even though it wasn't myself cancelling/rearranging the sessions but my counsellor). And now that my sessions are over, I'm still getting charged and again needing to chase them up to update their system and stop charging/refund me. All in all, a great service that otherwise really needs to improve how the booking/payment system works.
