Spa Palace's customer reviews analysis

Spa Palace's overall company reputation presents a multifaceted image, reflecting a blend of dedicated patronage and areas in need of improvement. A core strength appears to be its accessibility and extensive facilities, with its 24-hour operation and a variety of sauna, jacuzzi, and dining options attracting repeat customers. Regular visitors highlight a routine of moving between hot rooms, cold plunges, and rest areas as particularly rejuvenating. However, customer experience varies significantly, with praise for certain amenities, such as the food and friendly service, being offset by reports of subpar customer service encounters and issues related to access to certain spa areas or lack of clear communication, particularly in regard to the co-ed pools' operational hours. Furthermore, safety concerns have been raised, including a reported incident involving uncontrolled guests and locked emergency exits, which, if verified, could seriously tarnish the establishment's standing.

Positive Feedback

Positive feedback for Spa Palace frequently celebrates the comprehensive array of services provided, such as various sauna rooms, hot and cold plunges, and a full menu of body and face treatments. The spa is commended for its 24-hour operation, allowing customers to enjoy flexibility in visit timings, with some opting to stay overnight for an additional fee. Several customers also mention the quality of the restaurant within the spa, particularly noting dishes like bulgogi and the availability of beer as distinct advantages. Free parking and less crowded environments compared to similar facilities are also mentioned as substantial positives. Moreover, regular visitors appear to value the relaxation routines suggested within the spa, and some find these practices to contribute notably to their overall wellbeing.

Concerns and Threads

Negative customer feedback for Spa Palace is notably concerned with customer service and facility management. Some patrons report unpleasant interactions with staff, including experiences perceived as rude or unaccommodating, particularly when addressing misunderstandings about available services or seeking refunds. Additionally, inconsistencies in operational information, such as the unannounced closure of specific areas like the co-ed pools, have led to customer dissatisfaction. Safety issues are also a significant concern, with one review detailing an alarming incident involving disruptive behavior from other guests and inaccessible emergency exits. Cleanliness and maintenance have been criticized, with reports of outdated and unclean facilities potentially compromising the overall experience. These incidents appear to contribute to a portion of Spa Palace's clientele feeling mistreated and undervalued, which can be particularly damaging to the company's reputation in the long term.

Frequently asked questions about Spa Palace

What are the operational hours of Spa Palace's co-ed pool areas, and are they open every day?

The co-ed pool areas at Spa Palace are open from Friday to Sunday. It is recommended to check the official website or contact the spa directly for the most current information on operational hours, as these can vary and may not always be updated on the website.

Does the spa offer any vegetarian or vegan options at the restaurant?

While Spa Palace's restaurant is known for certain dishes like bulgogi, there have been concerns regarding vegetarian options, such as a reported instance of a chicken dish being replaced with soy meat. It is advised to inquire directly with the restaurant staff about the availability of vegetarian or vegan menu items.

Are emergency exits easily accessible at Spa Palace in case of an incident?

There has been at least one customer report of locked emergency exits, which is a serious safety concern. However, it should be standard practice for all emergency exits to be easily accessible, and guests are encouraged to report any such issues immediately to management and, if necessary, to local safety authorities.

I’ve tried other spas in SoCal and I keep coming back to Spa Palace. This spot is open 24 hrs and and you even sleep here if you want but overnight rates cost a bit more. I usually like coming here at night time since there’s less people and it feels more relaxing. There is a private parking garage with valet if you want to valet, but there is also free parking on the side of the building. When you park, you have to take an elevator to go up to the front desk. Service here has always been friendly each time I visit. You can ask so request for a shaver and toothbrush as needed. If you are doing an overnight, they also provide you with a blanket. In the Co-Ed space: I would recommend going into the hot rooms for 10-15 mins each then go to the cold room for at least 5 minutes and rest 10-15 minutes in the co-ed area. Repeat this routine 2-3 times. The co-ed space also has a restaurant that you can purchase food and snacks from. In the Locker room: I would recommend going to the steam mist room, sauna room, rinse, then jacuzzi after. The jacuzzi has 2 heated one and a cold plunge. I would recommend 10-15 mins in the Jacuzzi, then go to the cold plunge and stay in there for a minimum of 30 seconds. Sit and rest in the room for 5-10 minutes and repeat if you want to. Usually I can't take showers or anything cold but whenever I go to Spa Palace, a cold plunge is a must! I like to end my visit here with a cold plunge then shower and go home to sleep. You will be amazed how you feel right after leaving Spa Palace since the cold plunge will actually make you feel better.

REVIEW OF REVIEW. I returned to the spa and realized that they have nice boards showing the instructions in the glass doors at the entrance, now it's enough to keep the doors closed. On the other hand, they have kept enough water in the jars. On the other hand, I just try the restaurant and it's amazing. I would be back just as a restaurant for the bulgogi, a beer and a shaved ice, which are delicious. And the service deserves a mention apart, simply great. 5 stars without a doubt. ORIGINAL I've been to several Korean spa in LA, and for me this one has the best facilities. The food at the restaurant is good and I'm glad I finally found a spa that sells beer, considering that with the dehydration water is not enough. There are some odds for me that keeps this place far from 5 stars. The most important for me is that they don't have drinking water readily available, you need to ask for that, and there are times that there's no one to ask for it, this is even a safety risk that could lead to bigger problems for the business in my perspective. On the other hand, this is the spa where I have seen more newbies that don't know the rules and some of them used the facilities without taking a shower. The boards with the rules are hard to read, so it would be better to add more visual boards with easier indications. It would be easy to make this the best spa in LA with small tweaks to the service.

It was the worst service I have ever experienced here! Which is very unfortunate. The co-ed pools are now only open Friday - Sunday, the young girl (Jasmine or J) at the front desk did not mention that when i told her, That's why we were there. When i asked for a credit to return the next day, she said no. Then, said because it was over 15 minutes and the hours are listed on the website. I told her it took longer than 15 minutes for us to change and realize the pools were closed. Not only that, i did not book on the website. She was rude. She put her hands in our faces and ignored us when we asked questions. She did not give us the name or information of a manager when we asked because she said it was personal information. We paid and did not get to use the services we came for. There was another couple there who came and asked the same question because it's not clear when you pay that they are only open certain days. Overall, don't waste your money here!
