Mile End Park Leisure Centre And Stadium's customer reviews analysis

Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium appears to offer a diverse array of facilities suited for a variety of users, from athletes to families seeking recreation in an urban park setting. Reviews indicate a general satisfaction with the park's offerings, such as the lake, the Ecology Park, and the Art Pavilion, enriching the community with its blend of nature, culture, and sports. However, specific critiques are made regarding the swimming facilities. Repeated concerns about cleanliness and maintenance suggest a need for improved management. The swimming pool has been reported as reasonably clean, but customers have noted cluttered poolside areas, dirty changing cabinets, and unsanitary shower facilities. Additionally, staff professionalism at the reception has been called into question, indicating a possible area for human resources development. The varied customer experience suggests room for operational improvements, particularly within those areas directly impacting visitors' hygiene and satisfaction levels.

Positive Feedback

Positive feedback for Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium centers around the park's ambience and accessibility. Its location provides a pivotal escape within East London, fostering tranquility with its lake, and simultaneously promoting diverse activities for all age groups. The Ecology Park and Art Pavilion contribute to the venue's appeal, enriching the community with educational and cultural experiences. The family-friendly environment, complete with a play area and skate park, along with the accessibility from public transport, amplifies the park's allure. A track managed by a helpful and professional team is also amongst the facility's strengths, with users recommending booking ahead for a cost-effective experience. Swimming experiences can also be positive, with some users citing clean changing rooms and satisfactory water temperature while emphasizing the convenience of mobile app booking.

Concerns and Threads

Negative feedback primarily revolves around the swimming facility's shortcomings. In particular, customers have cited the presence of hair in the pool, clutter around the pool area from personal belongings, and overall cleanliness concerns in the changing and shower areas. There's a significant indication of the need for better facility management and housekeeping routines. The absence of child-friendly services within the gym and misleading or outdated information provided by customer service prove challenging for patrons with children. Additionally, some customers have reported substandard quality of the astro pitches leading to safety concerns. Finally, during peak times, poor staff conduct has been noted at the reception, potentially tainting the overall customer service reputation.

This review is only about the swimming pool facilities and so doesn't reflect on other facilities this venue has on offer. That said the swimming pool itself isn't bad. It is reasonably clean although I have seen lumps of hair at the bottom of the pool on more than one occasion. The problem is in the cleanliness of the surrounding areas. Firstly some people leave their belongings next to the pool. Trainers, bags, jackets. In that same area swimmers walk and enter the pool. Parents watching their children on the stands pass through this same area in street footwear. The same parents accompany children to the showering facilities. There are solutions like different entrance and exit for people watching or disposable slip on shoe covers. It seems that there is a lack of money invested. The changing cabinets are filthy. In all my visits I have never seen a cleaner. To sum up a long story short, really poor effort on the swimming pool side of things.

I’ve been to the swimming centre numerous times and its has always been the same. The changing rooms smell absolutely awful as-well as the toilets. The swimming pools are nice and spacious and if you would want to go in the deeper end of the main Pool, you are required to do a 25 metres test with safeguarding. I would recommend the smaller pool to family and young children.
