Drumbrae Leisure Centre appears to have a largely positive reputation based on the latest reviews. The centre is appreciated for its beautiful location, ample parking, and extensive facilities, which include a gym, swimming pool, and space for various indoor games. The reviews consistently mention the cleanliness of the pool and the premises overall, as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. However, there are concerns regarding the cost of the monthly swim membership and its value, particularly when the pool is not available during peak times. There are also recurring comments about the cleanliness of changing areas, especially in the afternoons, and isolated reports of unpleasant odors in the restroom facilities.
Positive Feedback
Drumbrae Leisure Centre is commended for its comprehensive range of amenities including a gym, swimming pool, and spaces for badminton, Zumba, and yoga among others. The cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the swimming pool, is often highlighted as a standout feature. The staff receives accolades for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment for visitors. Additional positive feedback surrounds the convenience offered by the ample parking space, easy payment options, and the facility's recent upgrades. The availability of discounts, a café, and EV charging stations further contribute to the centre's favorability in customer experience.
Concerns and Threads
Despite its many strong points, Drumbrae Leisure Centre faces some criticism from its patrons. The cost of the swim membership is perceived as high especially considering the limited pool availability post-5pm which inconveniences working individuals. Overcrowding in the medium swim lane also emerges as a concern, suggesting a demand for better management of lane assignments. Concerns about afternoon cleanliness in the changing areas and occasional unpleasant odors from the urinals suggest lapses in maintenance that could impact customer comfort. Addressing these issues could enhance the overall user experience.

Beautiful location. Greenery all around and a big ground next to it. A big parking space as well. It has gym, swimming pool, space for indoor games, etc. Quiet big to let enough quantity of people allowed in at a time. They also offer different types of discounts.

Returning to swimming after a 5 year hiatus. I only swim once a week so I don't have a membership. I pitch up at 6:25am and I am able to pay by card. Showers/pool is always clean. Lane swimming in place slow/medium/fast/other, I usually stick to medium. My only issue is that the medium lane can get a bit busy. I would suggest creating another one, probably from the "other" lanes.

Great pool and good clean facilities. What’s bad and despite being operated as a charity, is the monthly subscription is now nearly £50 for swim membership. That would be fine if the pool was always open but it’s not always open from 5pm when most people who work finish.
E.G unlimited swim in Fife is £37 pm, in Boness its £22 pm. Is heating, wages, and costs so much more in Edinburgh?
