It is a beautiful walk,I enjoy it everytime I go with the dog. You can amble along the river front for hours taking in the scenery across the water on to the Wirral side. You can gaze across to Birkenhead and Runcorn. Ships also use the waterway at high tides and it's nice to stand and watch them go by. It is a great area to de-stress and wind down. If it's a hot day don't forget your sun screen as the glare off the water can be intense. But overall once you get past the parking issues it's a lovely place to walk. Playground: There is the Otters play centre and across the road from it a children's swing and play area. Beware this does get busy on weekends. Restrooms: Facilities are not so great, toilets are in the pub at the millers end,but you have to be a patron. There are toilets at the Otters play centre but I also think the same applies there. There isn't a lot of rubbish receptacles on the walk so please be aware of that. The council encourages you to take your rubbish home with you. Dog-friendliness: Good place to walk your dog,but beware as there are bicycles and joggers using the promenade. They are cautious, but if your dog is off the lead you may have an accident. Families use the prom to have a lovely stroll along the River Mersey,to be honest it is lovely on a sunny day walking with the dog. Picnic area: Plenty of green areas to have a picnic or sit down and just browse the day away. There are benches along the way to sit down as well as some concrete loungers in some areas. There is the Millers pub at one end of the prom and Otters cafe and play area in the middle. If you plan a day there, I suggest you get there early on weekends and bank holidays as parking can be a big issue. Especially by the Otters play area and cafe as people tend to park on the kerb and it's an issue to get through as the place is popular.

Nice place to have a stroll down in the evening or when the weather is really nice. The view is quite something to see. Yet to go the Cafe nearby but that is next on my list.
