The Last Drop's customer reviews analysis

The Last Drop is an establishment in Edinburgh renowned for its atmospheric charm and historical significance, as evidenced by the customer reviews that praise its ambiance, live music, and authentic Scottish culinary offerings. Patrons are generally satisfied with the quality of food, particularly items like Cullen Skink, haggis, and unique vegetarian alternatives. Consistent commendation is noted for the staff's excellent service and the pub's compelling theme related to its dark history as an execution site. The presence of traditional music enhances the dining experience for visitors, who find the blend of culture and history both intriguing and enjoyable. However, issues such as inconsistent dessert quality and occasional challenges in securing seating without reservations hint at areas of potential improvement for the establishment.

Customers express significant appreciation for The Last Drop's authentic atmosphere, which combines traditional Scottish music with a storied history dating back to the time of King Charles II. The experience is heightened by live performances that contribute to a vibrant pub feel. Patrons also speak highly of the diverse menu offerings, including the flavorful vegetarian options and the variety of gins available. The quality of Scottish traditional dishes like haggis, complemented with whiskey sauce, receives unequivocal praise. The Last Drop's service is lauded as efficient and hospitable, creating a welcoming environment for those looking to indulge in the local culinary and cultural scene.

A surprisingly cozy and authentic pub right in the middle of Grassmarket. It's amazing how untainted so many pubs are in the most touristy sections of Edinburgh. When I stopped in for a pint, there were some great musicians playing live traditional music in the front corner. Can't beat a pint of cask ale and some live music.
