Peoplewhiz's customer reviews analysis

Based on the reviews provided, Peoplewhiz appears to have garnered an overwhelmingly negative reputation from its users. Customers repeatedly express dissatisfaction with the inaccuracy of the information provided, misleading advertising practices, and the mandatory subscription to premium services for complete data access. Complaints of discrepancies in self-search results, such as incorrect marital status, legal name errors, and unrelated criminal records, are common. The sentiment suggests that Peoplewhiz may use fear-based tactics and false or exaggerated information to encourage purchases. Additionally, issues with payment processing, as noted by a user whose credit card company frequently declines transactions with Peoplewhiz due to potential problems, further tarnish the company's reputation. Overall, the customer experience with Peoplewhiz is characterized by frustration and a feeling of being misled and financially exploited.

Positive Feedback

The provided reviews, unfortunately, paint a rather grim picture of Peoplewhiz, with a scant mention of positive customer feedback. Although the reviews lack affirmative aspects, a potential slight positive could be the initial user interface experience, such as the $1 promotion for a 5-day search. This may indicate that the site is perceived as initially user-friendly and accessible thanks to a low introductory offer. However, these initial sentiments are quickly overshadowed by the realization of the service's perceived true nature, making it challenging to isolate any significant positive customer feedback from the given reviews.

Concerns and Threads

The key negative aspects of Peoplewhiz, as highlighted by customer feedback, revolve around several core issues. Users report inaccurate personal data in reports, including basic information errors such as marital status. The service is criticized for its bait-and-switch sales tactics, with users feeling compelled to purchase more expensive services after being promised comprehensive information access that ultimately requires additional payment. There are also mentions of scare tactics being used to drive sales, with some users being misled into believing they had criminal records or other damaging information that required buying into the service to resolve. Furthermore, payment processing credibility is called into question when a credit card company flags the company for fraud, suggesting systemic trust issues with the service.

It described the person I was trying to investigate the completely different description and multiple names that were very similar to the person I requested to have searched. It was no help whatsoever in spite of what they say online it is not giving you much of anything I think it’s a scam. !

I signed up for a month subscription because there was no trial offered. I was led to believe I'd get all of the information, but what they give you is very basic. It's all info that I can find online for free. If you want all of the information you have to upgrade to the premium membership for another $69.99. They don't tell you that a regular month-by-month membership is limited. Plus, I did a search on myself. Much of the info was wrong. For instance, they said I've never been married and I've been married twice. They didn't even get my legal name right! But I know it was me because enough information was correct. This was a complete waste. I pretty much threw away my money.

Decided to run my name, to see what would pop up ... Sight claimed I had multiple criminal records, personal/private photos all just to get not only me but others to buy the $27 one month fee .... Well, not only do I not have a criminal record(I already knew that) but what info did show up re. criminal records was on other people with the same last name, different first name .... What traffic tickets that came up were 10-30 years old, there were NO private/disturbing pictures.... If I wanted to get any more info I had to pay another $19 .... In short this site is a total scam using false information, scare tactics to get your money .... Don't waste your money like I did
