The overall company reputation of Dr. Lester A. Freeman's practice appears mixed based on recent customer reviews. Patients praise Dr. Freeman and his medical staff, particularly for expertise, attentiveness, and a supportive approach towards patients' health and parenting choices. Freeman's long-term patients have displayed both loyalty and contentment with the healthcare received, which points to a strong foundation in patient-doctor relationships within his practice. However, significant concerns have been highlighted regarding the administrative and logistical aspects of the practice. Recurring themes include extended wait times, difficulty securing timely appointments, inadequate follow-up on patient inquiries, and frustration with the front office staff. These issues, particularly the reported lack of responsiveness in urgent situations, suggest systemic issues in practice management that could be undermining the quality of patient experience and potentially the overall reputation of the practice.

Positive customer experiences with Dr. Lester A. Freeman's practice stem from the high regard for his professional capabilities and the warm, personalized attention provided to patients. Dr. Freeman is praised for his caring demeanor, with patients feeling that he treats them like family and offers supportive care, even for complex issues like breastfeeding journeys. Recommendations from prestigious institutions like Emory and acknowledgments like being voted the best pediatrician in Atlanta attest to Dr. Freeman's esteem in the medical community.

Concerns and Threads

Dr. Lester A. Freeman's practice faces considerable criticism regarding operational inefficiencies and poor customer service, particularly from the front office. Patients express dissatisfaction with excessive wait times, both in terms of scheduling appointments and while in the waiting room, which disrupts their personal schedules and creates uncertainty. The staff's perceived nonchalance and the reported delays in crucial communication, such as follow-up calls and the transfer of medical records, have led some patients to question the value placed on their time and health needs. The discontent extends to the difficulty in reaching the practice via phone and an unacceptable level of disorganization in handling urgent requests. These factors contribute to a negative patient experience and illustrate a need for improvements in staffing, responsiveness, and office management.

Dr Freeman and his NP, Tina are awesome. However, the front office staff leaves much to be desired. You definitely don't feel like you're in a pediatric space. Additionally, to ask parents to wait 5-7 business days for a response to concerns is unreasonable.

Good Doctor. Lovely nurses. The wait times and lack of staffing has gotten ridiculous. When you go to urgent care your told to follow up with your child’s pediatrician. Appointments are always 3-4 weeks out. One time or appointment was at 10:30 and we didn’t see the NP until 1pm. I was trying to transfer my kids records and they simply “haven’t checked the fax machine all week”. In the time between calling to check on if the records were sent, we got into a bad wreck (totaled my car and everything) I’m trying to follow up from the ER with a pediatrician. They have no appointments until October and when I explained my situation on faxing the info to the new pediatrician STAT the front desk lady told me, the person who sends the records will “get to it at her earliest convenience.” I’m appalled.

Please do not take your child here. This doctors office is the worst! They don’t care about your time. They don’t care about your child’s health at all. It took over 30 days for them to provide medical records. They close when they feel like it. I called on a Friday at 9:30am and straight to voicemail. This doctors office is a joke. If you know what’s good for you and your time, take your child elsewhere.
