Dermagraffiti Tattoo's customer reviews analysis

The overall company reputation of Dermagraffiti Tattoo, informed by recent customer reviews, presents a dichotomy. Patrons of this business tend to commend the professionalism, friendliness, and quality of the work produced, particularly highlighting the talents of an artist named Jay. The shop's ambiance, including the museum of tattoo history, is also frequently praised, contributing positively to the customer experience. Customers repeatedly express satisfaction with their interactions, the cleanliness of the establishment, and their intention to return for future services. Conversely, the shop has faced criticism regarding the perceived value of the service, with at least one review accusing them of overcharging for a relatively simple tattoo by unnecessarily elongating the work time. Instances of poor customer service, particularly during follow-ups, also tarnish the company's reputation. These criticisms, however, seem less frequent than the praise, indicating a generally positive but somewhat varied customer experience.

Positive Feedback

Dermagraffiti Tattoo's positive customer feedback centers around several key aspects. Firstly, the artist Jay is consistently mentioned for his amazing work, professionalism, and ability to make customers feel at ease, especially those getting their first tattoos. The friendly and welcoming nature of the staff is another positive theme, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for clients. The studio's inclusion of a tattoo history exhibit offers a unique and appreciated touch to the overall experience. The quality of the tattoos themselves has been reported to be high, with customers expressing satisfaction with the final outcome. Moreover, the shop's location in Liverpool City Centre, along with its accessibility via parking and public transport, is convenient for clients. These positive experiences and the willingness expressed by several customers to return and recommend the shop suggest a strong customer loyalty and appreciation for the services provided.

Concerns and Threads

Despite the abundance of positive feedback, Dermagraffiti Tattoo has also received criticism on several fronts. One significant concern raised was the issue of overcharging. A customer reported that their partner was charged £300 for a medium-sized, basic design tattoo that took significantly longer than necessary due to the tattoo artist's frequent interruptions for conversations, leading to suspicions of intentional time-dragging to inflate the cost. Another negative aspect pertains to customer service during the post-tattoo care phase, with an account of the counter staff becoming rude and unhelpful when approached for a touch-up. Accessibility of the studio is limited, as mentioned by a customer noting the difficulty posed by stairs, which could be a deterrent for individuals with mobility issues. These critiques indicate that while the artistic work is generally well-regarded, the customer service approach and pricing transparency may need review and improvement.

2019 my partner got a medium sized lion tattooed on her upper arm. This piece was charged by the hour. The piece that could have been easily been completed within two hours (and two hours is definitely an over generous amount of time) as it was a pretty basic design, took much longer than this. Therefore she was majorly overcharged in price. This piece cost £300. I have never ever ever known a tattoo of this size and detail to cost that much. I myself have had a much more detailed bigger tattoo done by an experienced artist for £60. During her piece, the tattooist (who is also the owner) was talking, stopping tattooing to talk, talking with a friend in the shop ect. The guy was nice enough (and she loves the tattoo) but it was very clear that this was a classic tactic to drag out the length of time she was in the shop to overcharge her. Also the pupils on the tattoo are odd. Definitely better quality cheaper tattoo shops in the area that I've look into before coming here.
