As of Apr 05, 2024, 1919 customers have reviewed this business and rated it 4.5 Star out of 5. The following report provides an in-depth analysis of customer reviews collected.
The Bradbury Building garners an overall positive reputation from its visitors, primarily due to its distinctive and iconic architecture, as well as its historical significance and cameos in popular films, including 'Blade Runner'. Customers consistently praise the unique attributes of the building, such as the intricate ironwork, old-style elevators, and the sense of stepping back in time to the early 20th century. However, one significant limitation highlighted across the reviews is restricted public access, as guests can only explore the ground floor. This constraint impacts the potential for a more comprehensive experience, as guests cannot ascend the stairs or use the elevators, which somewhat diminishes satisfaction for those interested in a more in-depth exploration of the site.
Positive Feedback
Key positive aspects of the Bradbury Building, as informed by customer feedback, include the remarkable architecture that appears both 'next level' and 'futuristic for its day.' Visitors are enamored with the well-preserved historical details, such as the vintage floored tiles, mail chutes, and particularly the 'open bird-cage Otis elevators,' which are regarded as 'pure fine art.' The building's atmosphere is revered for giving a nostalgic impression of Los Angeles from nearly a century ago. The Bradbury Building's fame as a movie location, especially for scenes from 'Blade Runner,' captures the imaginations of patrons, making it a must-visit for fans and contributing positively to its allure. Despite limited access, the site's convenience for tourists, being in proximity to other attractions like the Grand Central Market and Angel's Flight, further amplifies its appeal.
Concerns and Threads
Despite the Bradbury Building's praise for its architectural beauty and nostalgic feel, visitors consistently express discontent regarding the restricted access beyond the lobby area. The exclusivity of the upper floors and the prohibition against using the elevators leave many patrons desiring more from their experience. Some visitors feel that although the building is worth a brief visit, it does not justify a substantial detour if not already in the vicinity. There is also mention of disappointment from photography enthusiasts who are not allowed to use professional cameras within the premises. Furthermore, indirect feedback about parking fees indirectly reflects the building's urban setting, which may add an additional, albeit minor, inconvenience for visitors.

It's such a neat building to check out. You've probably seen it in many a movie over the years. Blade Runner is what I always think of when I see the Bradbury Building. We only got to walk around the ground floor since there are actual businesses on the other floors, but we still got some cool shots of the place. If you are downtown, this is a must stop. The architecture is definitely next level and futuristic for its day, to say the least.

Beautiful building to visit and check out if you’re in the area. The architecture within is really unique and although you only get to enter and stay on the ground level, but it’s really a site to see. There are old style elevators, mail chutes, and even the floored tiles are very vintage. You can take some photos of this building and be in and out within 10 minutes.

Amazing beauty inside !
This historical, beautiful and unique building, is a true hidden treasure !
When you look at this building from outside, or walking by, you would have never imagined how amazing it is inside!
It is truly a piece of treasure from last century, but it is still standing and running like years before.
It has been used for many movie scenes. When you walk inside, you feel like the time has stopped at 1930'. How wonderful and mysterious the feeling can be!
Unfortunately, it is only open to the public for its front lobby and hallway, since it has been rented out for normal business office use.
It has been kept in very clean and very functional conditions. It is like a piece of antique left in downtown Los Angeles, for people to look at it and to imagine how people used to look like and to come out this real treasure.
