I called to have an inspection set up. It took 2 months to get an appointment and when the day finally comes, despite several text messages confirming the appointment, no one shows. I call the office and they say there was some “mishap” on their end and no one was schedule to arrive. The next date they offer, after they failed to follow their own scheduling, is 8 days later! I’d already waited 60 days, you mess up and don’t show and then the best you can do is ask me to take another day off work a whole week away?! They offered a $50 dollar credit but that wasn’t even an 8th if they total cost for the inspection! Totally did not instill any confidence in their actual service if they ever showed up. I just cancelled and looked for service elsewhere. Maybe they do good work but if you schedule with them, good luck trying to get someone to look at your actual chimney.

DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH ONLINE SCHEDULING. The online scheduling tool is not accurate; it only generates a cue for them to call you. Regardless of the time/date you requested online, the times available to you will be much different. For example, I requested 9 September in the online tool and the first they have available is 30 September.
I had used these people for several years now. The service was good when I was able to get them out in the past. They were more expensive than some of their competitors, but I thought the good service was worth it. However, the difficulty in scheduling them this year made me look for other options. Matthew did an excellent job! They were very professional and were able to tell me exactly what needed to be fixed and why. The office is very responsive and quickly answers phone calls and emails. If you’re in the Richmond area and need chimney sweeps, they’re definitely the way to go!
