The numerous testimonials emphasize his bedside manner, attentiveness, and expertise in neurology. Dr. Blum and his staff are consistently praised for treating patients with respect and for their dedication to uncovering root causes of neurological issues. However, a noteworthy portion of feedback signals concerns about potential misdiagnoses and frustrations with the administrative side of the practice, specifically regarding scheduling and coordination. Highlighted positive aspects include his and his staff's courteous treatment of patients with challenging conditions such as dementia, his attentiveness to detailed health histories, and the integrative approach to care. The value he places on understanding a patient's comprehensive health status is particularly appreciated. Dr. Blum's willingness to dive into the root causes rather than providing superficial treatments is prominent in the feedback, distinguishing him from other practitioners. Furthermore, the practice's efficiency and ability to provide prompt services, including diagnosis and testing during initial consultations, receive high praise. His referral network and proactive stance on patient advocacy are seen as strong indicators of his dedication to patient welfare.

Concerns and Threads

Despite the overwhelmingly positive aspects, some reviewers express significant dissatisfaction with aspects of Dr. Blum's practice. Notable negative experiences pertain to instances of misdiagnosis, which have led at least one patient to seek alternative medical opinions. There are also criticisms regarding the administrative efficiency, particularly in regards to scheduling mishaps and poor staff performance in appointment and treatment coordination. While the clinical expertise of Dr. Blum is seldom questioned, these administrative issues can detract from the overall patient experience. Dr. Blum is my grandmother's neuologist. I attended a check up appointment with her and her caretaker this afternoon. Dr. Blum and his PA, Kelly, are terrific! I love how they speak to my grandmother even though she has dementia. They do a good job to care for her as an individual and not demenish her due to her illness. My dad and aunt usually attend the appointment and they have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Blum and his staff as well. When you are picking a neurologist for an elderly patient with dementia, it so important to have a good recommendation. I highly recommend Dr. Blum.

I was referred to Dr. Blum by my orthopedic physician after experiencing nerve tingling in my hands and feet, with the intention of undergoing an EMG. Given that my primary physician also recommended a visit to a neurologist, I eagerly anticipated discussing the issues I had been facing. Unfortunately, the visit did not unfold as I had hoped. As I described my symptoms, which included tingling sensations in my hands, feet, face, and blurry vision, Dr. Blum suggested that my orthopedic specialist would be better suited to address the matter. It's rather ironic that I now have three different physicians recommending a neurologist, alluding to the possibility of these issues having a neurological basis. I fully comprehend that physicians are working under tight schedules these days, but this experience has been incredibly frustrating, to say the least.

Excellent experience with Dr. Blum and his staff so far. Had a long wait time for the first visit as a new patient, but appreciated that Dr. Blum apologized for the wait, acknowledged it and then proceeded to spend adequate time with me to understand my health history and to try to figure out my medical concerns. Also appreciate how well he coordinated with other doctors to deliver quality care. I definitely recommend him especially if you want a physician who is going to really work to understand your health history, risk factors and help diagnose you appropriately.
