Lenox Hill Podiatry's customer reviews analysis

Analyzing the spectrum of customer experiences at Lenox Hill Podiatry: Afsaneh Latifi, DPM, the practice appears to possess a strong positive reputation overall, prominently characterized by Dr. Latifi's dedication, professionalism, and attentiveness. Many reviewers commend her thorough approach, efficient treatment plans, and exceptional communication skills, even when she is travelling. Positive experiences cite successful resolutions to various foot problems, gratitude for care received, and a restorative impact on the patients' perspectives on medical professionals. Conversely, a notable negative review presents a starkly contrasting experience, emphasizing issues with insurance paperwork, poor administrative follow-through, and a perceived excess of unnecessary follow-ups, alongside questionable billing practices. This isolated yet intense critique introduces a blemish on an otherwise commendable reputation, suggesting a potential area for the practice to address in terms of administrative responsiveness and transparency in treatment planning.

Reviews repeatedly acknowledge Dr. Latifi's expertise in podiatry, noting her success with heel pain therapy and other foot-related issues. Patients report satisfaction with the outcomes of their treatments and appreciate her thorough and caring nature. Testimonials also point out the strong communication aspect of her practice, emphasizing her willingness to remain in contact with patients and her readiness to provide recommendations. Concerns and Threads

While most feedback highlights a favorable view of Lenox Hill Podiatry and Dr. Latifi, a critical review offers a deeper insight into potential areas of dissatisfaction for some patients. A key issue pertains to administrative challenges, particularly surrounding the submission of insurance paperwork, that detracts from the patient experience. This concern is framed within a context of frustration over a perceived lack of accountability, with implications of added financial stress due to unnecessary follow-up appointments. Such an experience elucidates a need for improvement in the operational elements of the practice, which if unaddressed, could tarnish the clinic's reputation. This single but pointed criticism suggests that while the medical care may be laudable, the corresponding administrative support may not consistently meet the same standards for all patients.

Dr. Latifi has been nothing less than dedicated and the consummate professional. She came highly recommended by my dermatologist, Dr. Lao, and he insisted I see her. She saw me, immediately. Her level of communication has been like no other. Even when she has been on travel and out of the country, she has been in touch with me concerning my response to treatment. I have been more than pleased with her attention to detail, level of care, and bedside manner.

Dr Latifi made so incredibly difficult for me just becaaue she didn’t want to just do her job and send the proper paper work so insurance can pay for tests she ordered… she was right about my foot however she lacks a great deal… my experience below sub par … she would be never recommended Btw she wants to see you just so she can get paid with tons of multiple follow ups … be mindful and don’t just take my word for it watch her as she moves and maybe you will see EDIT: OCT 31 2023 YOU'RE THE DR.... YOU NEVER SENT THE PAPER WORK TO BE AUTHORIZED!!! I was on the phone when insurance company called you and you told them other than what you told me and my husband seperately. ... You are the doctor but you like throwing the responsibilty on others... you did it ... Your fault .... I did not rush anything, you chose not to send the correct paper work .. and the insurance person on the phone told you how to put the PAPER work in... ( I KNOW BECASUE I WAS ON THE PHONE WHEN SHE TOLD YOU AND IT WAS 12 MINs no where near 45) and YOU DR LATIFI DIDN'T WANT TO DO IT...you refused to send an electronic referral... "because you only write them..." which is what you said... OH AND THE BEST BIT only my PC can make referrals .... Then why did you and how did i see you without 1... you are argumentative not helpful, you have a tad knowledge but your sub par performance after the visit and YOUR NEVER ENDING FOLLOW UPS that are not needed with YOU!!! Especially IF MY AILMENT NEEDS SURGERY WHICH IS WHAT YOU SAID IT POSSIBLY MIGHT NEED....( BUT IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE )AND YOU WANTED TO SEE ME 3 TIMES IN 3 weeks in OCT to charge for a visit.... You tried to charge me again when my husband came for the PAPER REFERRAL... I cancelled it. 2 times that weekend... you have questionable billing ways just from my experience with YOU alone...I HAD NOT EVEN SEEN THE SURGEON YET before 2 follow ups were on your books WITHIN 3 WKS and i was getting email and text reminders... even the surgeon gave me 6 - 8 wks to have a follow up...and you had me down for 3 in 1 month...... YOU'RE A LOT OF THINGS DR ... as 1 THAT I WOULD REFER...NOPE!... no you do not fall in the category of getting a referral from me or my husband... after our experience with you EDIT AGAIN: It is your responsibility as a dr to send the relevant paper work for my insurance .... Your diagnosis was A possibility not a certainty... and you didnt even know the extent or what it was... the surgeon said i didnt need the HUGE boot you told me to buy only the brace.... and i didnt need to buy and wear those OZOO shoes ... which you refer for my husband and me and we both have different arches mine didnt need to have it....I am happy i have all the proof i need... please do not continue to treat me as a former patient like this.. when i just came to you for help... refusing to send in the papers will have to be handled with not just my insurance IT IS YOU... you have treated me as a former patient horribly... Ill surely let EVERYONE who needs to know that you did this... it is not fair nor right, taking my insurance money and not doing what a DR should be doing... it isn't right and you have treated me terribly
