Breck Thrash, Md, Faad - U.S. Dermatology Partners Dallas Uptown's customer reviews analysis

Breck Thrash, MD, receives a mixture of reviews, indicating some inconsistencies in the customer experience. Positive reviews praise Dr. Thrash for his quickness in identifying problems, explaining conditions, and offering solutions, indicating a high level of knowledge and competence in his field. His thoroughness and detailed approach receive commendation, along with his encouragement for patients to research and participate actively in their treatment decisions. However, issues with office staff, namely customer service and communication problems, negatively impact the overall experience. These issues include unreturned calls and emails, difficulties in the appointment scheduling process, lapses in professionalism, and a feeling among some patients of being treated like a number, rather than individuals. While Dr. Thrash himself appears to maintain a positive reputation among his direct patients, his office's administrative operations, including interactions with secondary staff, contribute to a variegated reputation that suggests room for improvement in consistency of care and patient support services.

Positive Feedback

Key positive aspects of customer feedback for Breck Thrash, MD, include Dr. Thrash's expertise and the quality of care provided. Patients report that Dr. Thrash is knowledgeable and successful in treating various skin conditions, even performing minimally invasive procedures with care and competence. His attentiveness in providing detailed information, willingness to discuss treatment options thoroughly, and support for patient-driven research are highly valued. Importantly, there are anecdotes of Dr. Thrash identifying and treating severe conditions such as skin cancer, suggesting a level of thoroughness and care that can have significant health impacts for patients.

Concerns and Threads

The negative aspects of customer feedback revolve primarily around the customer service experience rather than the clinical care provided by Dr. Thrash himself. Patients express dissatisfaction with the administrative side of the practice, citing unresponsiveness to calls and emails, perceived rudeness from reception staff, and a lack of follow-through on administrative tasks such as prescription processing. Disappointment also stems from a sense of unprofessionalism, particularly relating to a scenario in which a patient felt neglected due to a festive atmosphere in the office. Additionally, there are criticisms of feeling dismissed or rushed during appointments and poor bedside manner, although it isn't specified if these last aspects directly involve Dr. Thrash or other staff members at the practice.

I started going to Dr. Thrash earlier this year and he has been a great doctor in every way I could imagine. He has been quick to identify, explain, and offer solutions to all of my problems or personal qualms with my skin. The best thing about going to Dr. Thrash to me is that he is incredibly quick thorough and detailed. For example, after taking a look at some of my acne, he quickly gave me a run down of what I was looking at, what might be causing it, what my quickest solutions were, but then also told it to me straight that he recommended to put me on Accutane. I was worried about plenty of horror stories, but he worked just as quickly to give me all the information he could provide, and also tell me where I could find some neutral resources to do my own investigating as well. He actually even ENCOURAGED me to go do my own investigation and to come back to my next appointment with an answer. Overall I look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Thrash and I'm glad to have him as my doctor!

Pretty disappointed with my overall experience with this office. I tried so hard to be understanding with the different staff at this office (nurse, doctor, front office); however, almost every single time I’ve had to deal with them they disappoint me with their level of customer service. It’s been a month of me dealing with a certain issue I’ve been seeing Dr. Rose Knight about — which I’ve had to consistently reach out to them for further assistance as my issue persists. Calls and e-mails do not get returned. Prescriptions to pharmacy do not get sent. I visited their Dallas office regarding this issue on two occasions. First time, very unpleasant experience with the care I received from the doctor and nurse. When I visited the second time (same issue), I had to wait over 40 minutes because of a front office mistake that could’ve been avoided by checking in with the patient rather than I having to inquire about the wait time. The visit itself took less than 5 minutes. On a different occasion, I was promised a call back from Dr. Knight (for the same issue) which never happened. Although I’ve previously worked with Dr. Thrash, who I have had great experiences with, this office overall and the various staff does not seem to care about the patients one bit. I will continue to work with them until my issue is resolved as they have billed my insurance and I’ve paid for their services, however, afterwards I will look elsewhere for a different dermatology office that prioritizes their patients needs. I would also recommend you seek services elsewhere.

Dr. Thrash is very knowledgeable and provides a high level of care. I've been going to him for about 5 years now. One time, I had a large growth on my ear. I thought I'd likely need to have a plastic surgeon remove it. But not only did Dr. Thrash do a biopsy, after applying a local anesthetic, he was able to completely remove the entire growth in his exam room. Practically painless. It healed fine and looks great. I was impressed. It's one of the reasons I highly recommend Dr. Thrash.
