My favourite opticians by a country mile. I have frequented this branch and it's much smaller predecessor that was located on Corporation Street in 2000. Some of the original staff are still here. I like the integrity of the company and the staff are generally fantastic. I used to go to their only real rival that begins with a B. However I didn't like their offerings nor their price hikes in the late 90's. I have had a few issues during this tenure however these have been amicable resolved and this is, indeed, expected during a two decade period. I have enjoyed visiting this branch and l have had no hesitation in handing over my money as l felt it was beneficial to me and my eye health. They have an extensive range of glasses and also contact lenses. Their eye tests are honest and thorough. I would wholeheartedly recommend this HUGE branch that is in what used to be OLYMPUS sports back in the early to mid 90's. On that note, over and out.

Not the best experience. Sent from my own opticians for a Cue appointment, they didn't want to give me one told me to go to A & E. I stood my ground and had tests at Specsavers outcome all was OK thus saving the NHS and me time and money. Lady who did test was very good and professional, but when standing at the reception trying to be seen, I could see the opticians sitting in a group laughing and chatting with each other, hardly busy. Not the most professional of behaviour maybe they could speak with the customer instead of us having to go through a third person

Good optician over all most staff are excellent but there's always the odd one who thinks otherwise. One thing I didn't like how they all standing on one side chatting and laughing yet there's one girl Asian or Indian standing next to them and it looked like all the (white) staff where totally ignoring her it didn't look good at all as a customer I felt sorry for her.
