I had the 6 course non vegetarian option and it was absolutely delicious. Every dish was just as intricately unique in presentation as it was in flavor. I recommend this option but keep in mind everyone at your table has to be onboard (requirement). At first I felt like the price was a bit high but after 2 or 3 dishes the value became apparent. The service was great and I really liked the interior of the restaurant, I will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: They have a solid menu with vegetarian options

I visited Junoon recently for lunch with my work colleagues. The overall ambience and service of this place was excellent. The staff were cordial, helped answer our queries, and took pictures of us. But the main attraction, especially of a Michelin star restaurant, should be the food and I was slightly disappointed. We tried the 3 course meal ($49). I tried paneer for starters and mushroom truffle khichdi for the main course (that costed an extra $5). Both of these lacked flavour and were very bland. The only saving grace was the dessert - kulfi pops that were very delicious. I did try the eggplant chat that my colleague ordered and that was unique and tasty. Overall, I am happy that I got to visit Junoon but it is going to be a one time visit.

Incredible, innovative Indian fare. Worth the price, especially for NYC. I had the three course tasting menu for $98 (and it was plenty of food). It started off with the most incredible scallop dish— BEST scallops I’ve ever had. Then I had the most amazing cocktail, definitely top 5 best drinks I’ve ever had. Then I had the Ghost Chilli vegetarian dish for my entree, which was not too spicy and fantastically delicious. The service was excellent as well, exactly what you would expect at an upscale restaurant. Not sure why the reviews aren’t more stellar. This meal was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had.

Reviews Summary

The reputation of Junoon appears to be largely positive, with particular praise being directed towards the unique and flavorful dishes, the quality of the service, and the ambiance of the restaurant. However, the reputation is not without blemish, as some customers reported disappointment with certain aspects, such as the taste of some dishes and the value for money, which in turn slightly tarnishes the otherwise stellar image of this Michelin-starred establishment. Customers appreciate the diversity of the menu, including the vegetarian options, as well as the intricate presentation of the dishes. Notably, the interior design and atmosphere were frequently highlighted as fitting for fine dining experiences, and many patrons expressed intentions to return, attributing this decision to both the culinary offerings and the overall dining experience. On the other hand, mixed reviews regarding some of the courses, particularly desserts, and cocktails suggest that while Junoon excels in many areas, there is room for improvement in order to consistently meet the high expectations associated with a Michelin star.
