The online experience is gratifyingly easy regardless if you’re tech savvy. Booked a vehicle for a family trip and am thrilled it went smoothly. Prior to trip emails covered everything. Once at destination airport the process went off without a hitch. I will comment we truly would have appreciated more “checkin” agents to make the line move faster. Also, it was sweltering?! We were all dripping. Unnecessary! The vehicle was immaculate and as advertised. Turning car back in was super quick and painless. Overall, absolutely competitive in price and afforded us a top notch experience from the Honolulu airport!

Rented a car for 10 days. Got to the hotel and saw the tire pressure was off the charts on one tire and completely misaligned on the other three. Spent two hours trying to get the Kapolei shop to answer their phone (Avis/Budget Customer care couldn't), so following advice of their Support line I returned it to Honolulu Airport the next morning - time and fuel wasted. No apology for the extreme risk, sloppy maintenance or inconvenience, just another poorly kept car in exchange. The 9 days later we get insult on top of near injury as they surcharge our rental for being an hour overdue, plus the cost of two gallons of gas.

Terrible experience at this location. As I write this, I am still waiting on my rental that was reserved for a pickup more than an hour and 45 minutes ago and prepaid. They have changed my vehicle from a premium SUV to a minivan because they have no idea when the SUV will be available. Even after this, the minivan is still not ready. There is a stack of other customers dealing with long waits as well. Unacceptable service and business practices. I would have canceled my reservation and gladly spent more with another provider if I hadn’t done a prepaid rate. It’s unfortunate that industry Titans are able to neglect customer service and experience in such a horrible way and remain in business.
